Editorial policy
We want readers to know what a piece is saying, what it is based on and how to raise a concern. Emerald Conversation aims for clear, careful writing about conversation, without presenting a personal preference as a rule for everyone.
Accuracy and care
We check factual statements against appropriate source material and review wording for clarity and context. When a point is an interpretation, we aim to make that clear. We do not promise that one question, format or listening habit will work in every exchange; circumstances and people differ.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and fit with the subject, not to guarantee a favourable mention for a partner. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a possible error, use the Contact page and identify the piece and passage. We review correction requests and update material when a change is warranted. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that applies, the image is labelled so readers can tell.
